LORE experience presented at KA II Concertation Meeting

LORE experience has been presented in a workshop organised by the EC in the context of KA II annual Concertation Meeting.

Gianni Sebastiano, Cézanne Software, LORE project coordinator, talked about human factors in KM by reporting about lessons learnt from the LORE project. He presented a list of the typical questions around human issues. The final question is why so much of the human potential is not exploited in organisations. Gianni named the key factors for encouraging employees and for supporting them the most. Finally he gave recommendations for how this can be achieved.

It is suggested by the participants that besides these approaches there should also be more systematic approaches, e.g, cognitive task analysis. Discussing about technological solutions, it is again confirmed by several participants that technology can not be a KM system but that it is an important enabling factor. It seems that this is common understanding now in the KM community.
