LORE Consortium announces final project review

LORE Conosrtium announces final project review on November 29 in Brussels.

MAJOR MILESTONE TO INITIATE THE RESEARCH PROJECT’S COMMERCIAL EXPLOITATION

Beginning in January 2000, LORE, "Leveraging Operational Resources Expertise," the European Commission co-funded IST project launched in the context of the 5th Programme. The goal of LORE is to integrate knowledge management technology and human resource management system to maximize human capital value. The project consists of five European partners (Cézanne Software, Sopheon, Fordesi, CIRA, and EPAL), nine work-packages, and 29 deliverables.

The primary deliverable is a software prototype developed jointly by Cézanne Software and Sopheon. Both software vendors in their current product offerings provide the technological components developed within the LORE research project. For example, Sopheon currently offers its clients the Linguistic Comparison Engine (LCE), and Cézanne Software provides its clients the XML and SOAP based portal. As the two technical partners, Cézanne and Sopheon are now working together to define a common commercialization plan, using joint resources to market and target potential customers for the LORE software toolkit beginning in 2003.
